Try running the ACT! program using the 'As Administrator' option.  To do this: Close ACT! > right click on the ACT! icon > select 'Run As Administrator'.

 

If that does not resolve the issue, see the following article: KB Article 19038

Greg,

 

Its not working I can't access ACT on my desk top or lap top.  Maybe my lap top is down now because I can't get the desk top (main ACT database) to open.

I've uninstalled ACT and reinstalled it having the same problem.

I don't understand how I can have problems with the same hard drive being moved into a new computer.  This is getting frusterating.

Kurt Is this for my desk top or lap top? My desk top is the one that holds the main database.
