After installing this critical update on my computer ACT! will not open. When I attempt to open it immediately gives an error message that says Sage ACT! cannot open, windows is searching for a solution to the problem. No solution can be found and the program closes.
I'm pretty confident that the issue is the .NET update. I ran a system restore pre .NET update and it works just fine. Re-installed the update and it broke again.
Tried the following with no improvement:
Run as administrator
Run in XP-compatability mode
ACT! Still runs fine from other computers. Our database is hosted on a server.
I searched and could not find a solution to this. I ran another system restore so that I can use ACT on my computer, but wanted to post this in case others are having trouble, and see if there is a better solution.

I am from the .NET Framework team.
If somebody from act! support team can share some details (like crash dumps) regarding this issue with .NET 4.5.1 with your product, then that will be great. We can help in root causing any problems that maybe arising due to .NET 4.5.1 or any other update from .NET.
