Method to Convert a Remote Database to become the Main Database

I am running Act! Premium for workgroups 2006.

My Server recently crashed so I only have the remote database available to restore/work with.

  1. Can someone walk me though the procedure needed to use this remote database and make it the Main database?
  2.  I cannot use this version to create other remote databases as  if I go through the Synchronization panel the option to create a remote database is GREYED out.
  3.  What option can I use so that a remote database never expires?

Thanks

Chris -

Look at KB 14273.  I've done this before, and all should work fine...

Thaks for the suggestion. I followed the KB article faithfully and created a new "publisher" database, HOWEVER, when I opened the new publisher db, I noticed that my history /notes were missing everything after November 2007. I rechecked the "remote" database version and it had the entries for 2008 and 2009.Also the total number of contacts is not the same. The new publisher db has less entries.

What could be the cause of this?
