Merging Act Databases

I have multiple Act 2009 databases that will need to be merged into a single Publisher database.  The customer created this haphazardly and does not know if the field definitions match across databases.

Is there a method to output a record layout or field listing with their corresponding formats?

Many Thanks

Re: Merging Act Databases

ACTDiag has a field report. STart, Run, ACTdiag, then to the database menu.  Find your database on the list and then choose Actions menu, database reports, database structure. You will see several reports here that may help including field list to .csv

Re: Merging Act Databases

howdy... I have the new 2011 act... and having a hard time with the following:

1) Getting Administrator access on a newly formed database.  Is there a default? password?

2) Merging a database from my office (PC) to my laptop

I actually have an intern putting in information into the database on my laptop and would like to make sure the activities/notes, and contact information can import into the database on my PC.

Do I need to set up the database on the laptop as a remote database? and if so how do I do this...

A bit frustrated !!!!

Any help would be much appreciated. CP
