Managing opportunity history

Hi All, Could anyone offer some assistance on how I can select multiple entries in the history tab at the Company level and share this history with an opportunity? Currently I am selecting each entry individually in History and then associating it (or sharing it) with the opportunity. It is a very tedious process. Thanks, vc

Do you need them assosucated with both the company and the opportunity? if so, i don't have an easy way to manage this.  If you just need them associated with the opporutnity. have the users create the history at the opportunity level

Hi Jon,

 

Thanks for the reply.  However, I'm looking to find out how to share this data with existing history.  We have taken the step of changing our process and entering our history at the opportunity.  But we need to move the existing history as well.

it is technically possible to move the histories to another entity, but would require a custom import export tool and would probably be something you would send to a consultant for this one time job.
