Maintenance task fails on schedule

Hi all,

Ive managed to sucessfully run the maintenance tasks via the menu but when I schedule it to run I get the following error:-

Error:

Failed to log into the database. Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding

Ive looked at everything I can and I cant find a problem with access rights or database availability as the backup runs successfully only a few hours earlier..

Any advice much appreciated.

Thanks.

Re: Maintenance task fails on schedule

Let's try increasing the database timeouts:

http://kb.swiftpage.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/14151/kw/database%20timeouts%20actdiag

Double the given values for DatabaseCommandTimeOut.Default, DatabaseConnectionTimeOut.Default, and DatabaseCommandTimeOut.Long.

Restart SQL server.  You can do this from ACTDIAG.EXE through the tools menu.  Let us know if the maintenance runs this time.
