Mail merge the first 400 of 1500 contacts

My database has 1500 contacts.  I want to break it up, so I can gmail 400 names a day.  I can't think of a way to make a group based on the position of the record within database.

Any help is appreciated,

Hi Manassasralph,

What I would sugest you do is create the groups first, then go to contacts, select the first 400 contacts, right click on the list and choose "add to Group...", select the group you want and click ok.

Do this for the next 400 etc until you have put all your contacts into groups.

Kind Regards

Jared,

Thanks, that's exactly what I needed.

Would it be OK to contact you privately about other issues I'm having with ACT?

Hi,

we have a small Addon called Group-it, it´s main intension is to lookup contacts that are in several groups, (or exclude specific groups)

but this addon also has a specific feature, wher you can splitt a search into several "subgroups"

this is the description of the feature

you can use the software as a trial for 14 days. so if you want to splitt the database once, you can use the trial, and do the split, and then delete the software again

Hi Manassasralph,

You would be better to raise your questions in the forums, I try to be very active on the forums where I can be helpful, and there are a lot of very knowledgable people on here (much moreso than myself) that would not be able to offer their advice and expertise if you send the questions to me.

Kind Regards
