When I use Letter Templates or Mail Merge (word processor > template) for multiple contacts, ACT only records the history in the first contact selected even though letters were written for multiple contacts. Is this a glitch in 2010 premium?
Yes, this is a reported issue in ACT! 2010. Until the cause is found and addressed in an update, the workaround would be to use the ACT! Word Processor for mail merges instead of MS Word. You would first need to recreate your Word templates as ACT! Word Processor templates (.tpl). You would do this by copy the content of the Word template, creating a new .tpl template, then pasting the content. However, the field links would need to be created in the new .tpl template as they will not copy/paste over. To switch the default word in processor in ACT! from Word to the AWP, go to Tool/Preferences and make the change under the Communications tab.
Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.
