Losing Web Info -- time wasting

I saw an earlier post where someone was losing their Web Info links.

I just had the same problem for the 3rd time - I create many custom link, only to loose them. I previously backed up all Personal Files. When I restore from the Personal Files backup - the Web links did not come in.

What a timing wasting exercise re-creating these links - over and over and over.

I am serious thinking of asking for a refund!!!!

The Web Info tab links are not stored in your personal files, but rather in your preferences file. This file is called USPreferences206.xml and is located at:

Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\(user name)\Application Data\ACT\Act for Windows 12

Windows Vista / 7): C:\Users\(user name)\AppData\Roaming\ACT\ACT for Windows 12

There is a separate utility that can back your Web Info links. You can find this at the bottom of KB 25479

Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.
