Could you be more specific, as this may be working as intended.
Linked fields will only update from Company down to Contact, not the other way round.

Yes - from company to contact.
This was working perfectly well before. I also noticed today that one field worked and not another. All these fields worked perfectly fined until the recent upgrade to the newst version.

This again shows how poorly this software is tested before it goes out - and they often refuse to provide support unless it is escalated to senior management.

I read the article - but it is not clear it is applicable to V16 - eg.,
The 2nd link, although talks about V16 gives the fix for 2009. It is confusing.

Actually if you read the article again, you will see it does give instructions on how to resolve this issue for v16.
the link you have clicked within that article is specific to how to correct this problem for Act 2009, which was to upgrade to the latest version of 2009.
read the entire article through, follow the steps, and then let us know how if it worked.

This worked to fix a client database where Company Fields were not updating contacts

I downloaded and saved DBFixer16 but when I try to open it - Windows 8 is asking me which program to use to open it.
I thought this is an executable and would open automatically on double-click.
Can anyone please help?
