We are using ACT! by Sage 2007 (9.0) Version 188.8.131.52, Windows XP Pro.
When trying setup the ACT for Palm configuration, when we select the database we are getting an error message "Your user name or password is invalid".
There are only 2 users of the database and our password is left blank when opening the database. The database opens normally, but trying to use the same user name/password combination for the Palm link setup the error is always there.
We have uninstalled the Palm link software manually and reinstalled per the knowledge base, no change in results. Have tried to establish a non-blank password, no change in results.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Try linking the Demo database (ACT9Demo) to see if this will take. The username is "Chris Huffman", no password.
Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.

Thanks for the suggestion. Whene attepmting to use the demo database, we get the following error message:
"An error occured connecting to the specified database. Make sure you can open your database in ACT! (we cannot open the demo), check to make sure you have synchronization access (we have administrator rights), and then use this configuration application to re-select your database."
What would our next step be?
