Link a document to an ACT field

[ Edited ]

Forgotten how to do this.

I remember creating a URL field and then linking to a document with  something like

file:///C:/temp/text.txt

Anyone remember ?

Fixed it.

It turns out I had got the syntax correct for the URL link but where the documents were stored was restricted user access. Once this was sorted the linking worked!

file:///C:/  Then folder then file including file extension.

You can do that in the Documents tab, unless I'm missing something in your question.

Hi John

Thanks but we need to have selected documents linked to specific fields in ACT for a client. Have done this in the past but cannot remember syntax for url link.
