License expires after V2V conversion?

Hi all,

I have a VM running Sage Act Premium 2011 for Web, all was working fine.

I ran a V2V conversion to migrate the VM from Hyper-V to VMware, and whilst the conversion completed perfectly, i've discovered the Sage software now says it is unlicensed.

I'm guessing the license is in some way tied to the MAC address or other property of the original VM. Does anyone know if the license IS tied to the MAC address?

TIA

Re: License expires after V2V conversion?

markey164,

I'm unable to go into great detail about how the Protexis Licensing Service checks for licensing, but from what I've experienced there is mor information than just he MAC address that is used for the licensing.  if you need I can update your license to allow the additional registration.  All I would need was your serial number sent to Billy.Clark@swiftpage.com.

Re: License expires after V2V conversion?

Hi Billy, Thanks for the reply. I resolved this via telephone support in the end. They were very helpful and got us back up and running very quickly.

I won't go into detail, but it was straightforward to resolve over the phone.

Many Thanks

Mark
