Library not registered

Surprise surprise - another random error that decides to pop up  where the only solutions I see involve uninstalling/resinstalling all my software.....next I'm sure is the "reformat, clean install of XP, blah blah blah...."

When trying to do a mail merge via email it crashes.

The complete text of the error is as follows:

"Unable to case COM object of type 'Redemption.SafeMailItemClass' to interface type 'Redemption.ISafeMailItem'. This operation failed because the QueryInterface call on the COM component for the interface with IID '{0A95BE2D-1543-46BE-AD6D-18653034BF87}' failed due to the following error: LIbrary not registered. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8002801D (TYPE_E_LIBNOTREGISTERED)).

I've been doing mail merges every week for the last 2 months and this is first time it's happened.

Please offer some help so I can get my work done.

Re: Library not registered

You should find both files in the ACT! installed directory.  SImply drag the Redemption.dll file onto the RegSrv32.exe file.  That should register the file.

thanks

Re: Library not registered

For whatever reason, the Redemption.dll file has become unregistered.

Close ACT!

Drop Redemption.dll over regsvr32.exe in C:\Program Files\ACT\ACT for Windows

This should resolve the issue.

Please post your results.

thanks

Re: Library not registered

Sorry, not sure what exactly you mean by "drop xxx over yyy"

Where would I find the dll in question?

Re: Library not registered

This did not work -- it is only when Word is selected as the email editor.  Any other ideas?  Thanks, Brenda
