I use ACT! Premium (for Web) 2010 with Windows 7 and Word 2010.
I have been trying to create letters and/or a Mail Merge to send to leads.
I have had the problem of not being able to create/save/edit templates that has shown up in several other strings. I'm not prepared to port/copy/backup/restore, but trying to get someone to work on that.
Separately, I believe, when just writing a blank letter (Related Tasks > Write a Letter when viewing contact) it does not update the contact information. ACT generates a letter but populates fields with an old contact. I was willing to paste/modify my body text from another letter to work around the template issue, but this is making this functionality in ACT more frustrating than useful. If you've seen this problem and have a solution please let me know.

Does anyone have a solution for this? When I go to write to create a letter all I get is a blank Word field. I have not been able to get anyone that understands the problem. I get an ActiveX issue as well. What is that all about?
