Layouts fields look different between Windows 7 and Windows XP Pro

Why does my Contact or any Table layout of the fields designed on my Windows 7 64 bit system look different on my remote PC running Windows XP Pro SP3.  I checked all possible windows display settings.  Then looking at the Layouts Properties on both PC's the fields are the same  Border Style is Fixed3D, but on Win7 they look like None and yet they look like Fixed 3D. Which tells me Windows 7 display settings or the OS is a problem?

Are you using the large fonts on either machine?

Referring to layout properties they are Tahoma 8pt.
If your referring to a windows OS setting please expand where. For Windows 7 control panel Display is smaller 100% default. For DPI its 100% 9pt, checked box Use windows XP style DPI scaling.
