Keyword search not working

Something is not working right in the search on keyword function.

I did a keyword search in contacts, and looking in all fields.  This particular search produced the initial results I was looking for.  Then, I changed the keywords to refine the search.  In this case, I was looking for the words "product manager" in all fields and in the current look up.  But 0 items were found.  However, I could see in my original lookup (still on the screen) a number of contacts with "product manager" in their title.  What's going on?

What is the first search value you run?  And what field(s) is it typically found in?

 

What version of Act! are you using?

I am having the same or similar problem.  No matter what I type in I get no results.

I think the problem was, in the section called "Search these records", it defaluts to "All".  I think you need to set it to "contacts" before you click "find now"

 

It's been a while, so I don't remember if that was the right solution.
