Same result for the demo database.  It doesn't seem to fail authentication, like the username/password are accepted.  It just fails on default.aspx with this unterminated string constant browser error.  I have indeed tried with the wrong password and it detects that - so I'm getting into the database.

Still waiting for IT to reply about the KB.

 

I've done some investigating and I've determined that my .NET runtime is adding the line

<script language='javascript'>alert('Value cannot be null.

Parameter name: Value is null.');</script>

 

literally, with that line break there, and I think that is causing the page to fail because it's missing the end quote that appears on the second line.  I've googled and found that this has something to do with AJAX.  This server was a 2.0 site - I set the default to 1.1 and it allowed me to install ACT, and I custom set my 2.0 app (that uses AJAX) to use 2.0 (default web site is 1.1).  I think it has something to do with .NET trying to AJAX-ify the code at runtime.
