Issue viewing documents that have been posted by other users

The ladies in the office are having trouble viewing documents and attachments that have been saved under contacts. One person may see the document and another may not. Also the users have synchronized so that is not realy in issue. I am able to log in as the user who can not see the document on my own computer and see as well as open the document where as they can not. I checked for ACT updates on the computer and it says that we are using the most current version of ACT. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Are all the personal file locations (found under Preferences) pointing to the same place, not the default which looks at the workstation's C: drive?  You have to do this for every user.

We are having the same issue. Most of my sales team is unable to view documents that I post in the Opportunity, and I am unable to view documents they post (assumably) in the Contact. I checked the preferences and my database is pointing to the C. Drive. So where is it supposed to point?
