Re: Issue ACT 2018 Connection Time Out

Hi there...I'm a new user to this Cloud based ACT. The timing out is seriously annoying. I read your fix but it's greek to me. I am not even close to a techie and a one woman shop in this department. Is there a "Fix for Dummies" that I can do to keep my cloud based ACT logged in? Thank you.

Re: Issue ACT 2018 Connection Time Out

Hi Dorothy,

Start your Act! web server as 'Administrator'.

See Act! Help which gives the following instructions...

From the Tools Website Administration change the session timeout limit
  1. On the Options tab, from the Session timeout list, select a timeout limit. Click Apply.
  2. If a message appears, click Yes to continue.
  3. Click Close.

Microsoft IIS services are automatically restarted so the new session timeout limit can take effect.

HTH
