This just happened to me on a computer with Act! V19 Premium Recently installed...
Windows 10 64Bit
No UAC - No Firewall - No Antivirus
SQL working perfectly
This is the error message when I go to Tools... Preferences... And I do not load the navigation bar...
... Additionally... If I tell you that I want to continue the Trial, it does not hold it... Every time I open it I ask again

We're going to need a little more clarification on some of this information.
Please could you let us now when the InvalidArgument error occurs? Does it occur directly after clicking on Tools > Preferences?
What do you mean by "And I do not load the navigation bar"?
You mention that the software is in trial mode. Have you activated it with a serial number?
For the "Setup has encountered an error" message, was there any other errors after clicking OK, or did the installation complete, and you were able to open the software but experienced the aforementioned issues?

Right, nvalidArgument occur directly after clicking on Tools > Preferences.
When I Open Act!... Act! not load the navigation bar (Contacts, Calendar, Companies, Groups, Opportunities ... etc...)
Right, later of (Finishing the installation) "Setup has encountered an error" message... asked me about installing the WEB API (I do not need it) Apparently Act! was Installed but when I open it Act! 1. Act! not load the navigation bar AND after clicking on Tools > Preferences get the error message... InvalidArgument
