I have installed ACT Premium Web 2012 on a web server and that portion works fine.
I am trying to setup database sync over the internet and have run into some problems.
I have installed the Internet Sync Service on the webserver and it does display in the Add/Remove programs in the control panel but don't see an internet sync service in the services.msc or in the bottom right task tray.
I have created multiple remote databases with the host IP address for internet syncing outside of a firewall. When I download the remote database and unpack and restore it to my local ACT installation it unpacks and restores fine. However, it is unable to sync and I have noticed that it is still trying to sync via machine name instead of IP address. It fails to sync because the server is not on the same network.
Documentation seems to be non-existent and knowledge base entries refer to older versions of ACT.
