I have just set up an installation of ACT! Premium, with Internet Sync... and am getting the following message as well:
Unable to acquire sync server object. Serer Error Description: Failed to setup main databases for sync. Error occurred while loading server config file. Error while converting server config file. Error occurred while saving server config file. Access to path C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ACT\ACT for Windows 11\syncConfigFile.xml' is denied. Contact your administrator for assistance.
I have looked at the KB article, and searched through the forums with no working solution yet. Any ideas? (The only difference in installation is that we're keeping the database in a C:\ACT folder rather than the Administrator's My Documents folder)

You will need to set proper permissions on the folder. Go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ACT\ACT for Windows 11 and give everyone group full control.
