Just got off the phone with product support, they told me that some of the issues I called about are resolved by setting compatability mode on IE8, but recommended I roll back to IE7. 

 

I have to say, this is total BS, especially since you launched ACT 2010 with still no support for IE8, and Microsoft will now be pushing IE8 as a required update for Windows.  Get your product up to snuff...

You will not lose any functionality running IE 8 in compatibility mode.  You can continue to use IE 8.

Thanks David, when product support told me to rollback to IE7 I almost had a heart attack
