I am reinstalling Sage Act Premium 2012 as I kept getting an error and was advised to uninstall sage act and reinstall but now when I reinstall the installation portion where it says checking SQL Server Status is stuck at about 90%. I have read some posts that said to uninstall microsoft server sql 2005 and to leave 2008 alone which I did, restarted computer and am trying again.
Do I need to uninstall Microsoft Visual C++ 2005??
please help and give me very simple steps
Thank You

You should not uninstall Microsoft Visual C++ 2005.
If you're reinstalling Sage ACT! Premium 2012 and it's getting hung up on checking SQL Server Status, this could be because the existing Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 (ACT7) instance installation is damaged. I would recommend uninstalling the SQL Server (ACT7) instance, and try to manually recreate the SQL Server (ACT7) instance.
