I've tried to install ACT Premium 2008 version on my new computer running Windows 7. There's a problem during installation so I clicked "Go to internet for solution to problem" and the program states that installation is complete. But when I try to open it, a message "Protexis. threw an exception" comes up and program won't load.
Is this a problem with Windows 7 or with me? Please help.

From the error 'Protexis threw an exception', it sounds like you are installing Act! 2008 onto a 64-bit Operating System. If this is true, the Act! 2008 program will not be able to run because it is not compatible with a 64-bit Operating System.
Act! 2009 was the first version made compatible with a 64-bit OS. All subsequent versions are also compatible with 64-bit.
