Installing ACT 2011 Premium with SQL 2008 Std Edition

I have installed SQL 2008 Std Edition and created a named instance called ACT7 per knowledgebase specs.  However, when I attempt to install ACT 2011 Premium, the install ends abruptly looking for SQL 2008 R2. This does not seem to a be a prerequisite in the System Requirements.  It appears only that I need SQL 2008.

This installation is on a Windows 2003 R2 64 Bit install.

Is there something I can do to work around this issue?

Many Thanks

Craig

Re: Installing ACT 2011 Premium with SQL 2008 Std Edition

Hi Mike-

The premium requirements refer to Server 2003 SP2 and SQL 2008 Std with no reference to R2.

The next question would be the consequences of using SQL Express 2008 R2.  At what point would the DB grow to the limitations of SQL Express?

What components cause Database growth?

Many Thanks

The database size limitation of SQL 2008 Express is 10GB ... I don't think I've seen an ACT! database even close to that.
