Installation on Windows2008 Server 64bit?

Hi,

As stated in the requirements, IIS is runnig in 32 bit mode now. how ever, this introduces other issues, like webmail not working anymore and windos systemupdate (WSUS 3.0) and every other website on IIS. I cannot believe that that is normal or accepted. Does anybody know what the correct modes are? Can IIS run in 64bit and will act 2009 premium work?

regards

Hello Maarten,

If you are using IIS 7, then you should be able to configure the application pool for ACT! for Web to 32-bit and the other apps to 64-bit. Please see the following Knowledgebase article:

Hi Greig,

Thank you for the reply. The server is running IIS 6.0, so I should consider upgrading - or not?

Yes. IIS 6 does not have the functionality to independently configure 32-bit or 64-bit for multiple application pools.
