Importing contact information from CSV not replacing currency field

All other fields get imported but a user-defined field setup as a currency field. Using ACT! 2010. Excel 2007 workbook saved as CSV file. I did not have this problem with ACT! 2009.

This is a known issue.

If you remove the currency symbols from the .csv file you should be able to import without issue.

Currency signs were removed from source CSV file so that would not have been the problem.

Try formatting the currency cells as number, then re-importing.

Issue solved, operator error. Merge did not replace an existing field, using selective add did. Thanks,
