Importing .bak file in Act Premium 11.1?

[ Edited ]

I made a copy of my database i.e. I just copied the .bak file that my previous version of Act made from a previous backup.

Is it possible to import this .bak file using Act Premium 11.1? If so how do I recreate the database?

Also, not sure if this makes a diiference but the old .bak file was created using Act 9 not the latest version that I'm using now.

How did you get the BAK file?  Did you create a backup in ACT!?  If you did, you can restore the ZIP file by going to File > Restore > Database.

Its not possible for a regular user to open or restore .BAK file in ACT. You may have to contact ACT! tech support and they may have a utility or tool to attahch the BAK manually to SQL...

Thanks,

Ferrard is correct.  Support will have a utility to restore the BAK file.
