Importing Issues

I am an administrative user and I recently got a cardscan.  I export from the cardscan to a CSV text file and try to import to ACT.  Everything goes smooth but nothing appears in act.  I am using ACT! by Sage Premium 2009 (11.0) Version 11.0.0.367.
