Importing Data into ACT

Does anyone know if there is a way to automatically link a contact to a company name if the company name matches during an import?  If there is a way to do this via ACT import it would be great!

Please don't cross-post to multiple groups... most of the people who will answer do read them all at this time

Re: Importing Data into ACT

I've spent hours trying to figure out this same Import issue.  Nothing online.  Looking forward to someone explaining how to accomplish this.  Thanks for asking the question.

Re: Importing Data into ACT

ACT does not automatically link contacts with a company during the import process.

However, this has been submitted as a feature request for possible inclusion in a future version.

You can request features for ACT by using the following link: http://www.act.com/community/feature/

Thank you.  I wish I knew about this message board before I spent two weekends trying to figure this out.

The best tool we have found is CompanyWizard by Egen Consulting

After an import, it will help automatically link contacts with Company records.

There is also Company Maker by www.adsprogramming.com

That's what we use when doing massive migrations.
