Import Not working

Hi There,

 

Specs:

Using Sage Act Premium 2011

 

Problem:


When I import my CSV File it is merging all the fields except for the contact field.

I want it to match to the COMPANY and add the missing fields. (one of these being the contact field)

 

I have match records on company only. When I test is on 1 contact, it matches but does not merge the contact name.


Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can only add blank fields to records that already exist... you can't overwrite data in a merge unless you use an add-on

Hey the contact field is empty and the file I am merging should make it not empty.

To clarify:

I have a spreadsheet CSV which has contact fields.

My database currently has contacts with empty contact(name) fields.

I want it to match by Company then fill in the contact details because currently they are empty.

I found a work around:

Mapped it to a different vacant field, then did a lookup based on recent import (sorted by time - and omitted the ones from earlier) then did a copy from the vacant field to the Contact field.
