If/then statement in ACT?

Hi all,

I am trying to do something in my ACT Premium 2011, Windows XP.  I have a field, with multiple types of data (Data1, Data2, Data3) in it, that I would like to move the contents to new fields.  I am looking to perform an IF/THEN statement/function to complete this.  Such as if this field has "Data1" in it, move it to Field A.  But if it has "Data2" in it, move to field B, etc.  Does ACT have this capability?  Or is there a work-around to this, if not?

Many thanks,

Re: If/then statement in ACT?

No. There might be a third party utility for that. Another alternative would be to do a contains lookup on that field to create a lookup of the effected contacts for each value and the use Edit | Replace to write to the new field.

Thanks, Roy. I'm going to try the Edit | Replace.
