I have a user who on Friday was clearing a reoccuring activity upon hitting OK, his screen went blank and when it came back his calendar and activities are empty. If you click on the activities tab you get a " Index length must refer to a location within the string Parameter name: Length.
If other users select this user and anyone else in the calenar view their calendar is blank. If you remove this user from the list then you can view everyone else's calendar etc. The same occurs on the server.
I uninstalled and reinstalled ACT for this user to no avail. All the activities are there, I can run an activity report and get them they are just not part of the users contact record. I also tried resetting his preference settings per KB 21042 and the Fix Known Activities Data Issue both on his local machine. I did not do either on the server.
Help!

First - make sure you have a backup... make one now in case something gets worse
Have you tried the other database repair options as per this ACT! Knowledge Base article -
Failing that:
What exact version of ACT! (full build from Help | About)?
Is that the exact error?

The problem with doing that is if there is damage in the database, it's likely to re-occur and could even get worse.
Keep good backups

Thanks. Had no choice the user is the owner of the company and he couldn't work with out getting his contacts/appointments in ACT.
Good advice, I'll keep an eye on it.
