I cannot create a Microsoft Word-based template using ACT Premium 2012

Hi all,

  • I have my word processor set correctly for "Microsoft Word"
  • I am using the "Write New Letter/Email Template" option under the Write menu as instructed by the online KB docs
  • I am following the instructions for creating a new template
  • I am Saving As an ".adt" file per online instructions
  • I create the template.....BUT....

When I go back to open the template it is always BLANK.

Why is this happening?

Greetings Gabriel, which is the Office version  that you Use?

When you save the adt file, are you ensure placement in the supplemental files folder that corresponds to the database server? or the location where the database should be taken?

Important Note: Be sure to back up your database regularly.  Smiley Wink   (File - Backup - Database)

Yes - the file is located in the ACT database templates file where all of the other ones are. I can even go into the source folder, make changes and they don't show up
