I can't see a contact but others can

We have multiple copies of ACT.  When I look up our company I only get three contacts.  When I do so on a different computer with a different copy of ACT, I see 16 contacts, the correct number.  On both programs I see the same amount of contacts for the total database.

Is there some setting that might be filtering out the other contatcts?

I am using ACT Premium 2008.

Thanks!

In the Lookup window on the right hand side there are two check boxes. On of them is 'Include Users', is this checked on all machines?

Hi,

Is the database networked? i.e. make sure your not looking at a database on your local machine.

If your sure that your both looking at the correct database, make sure those 13 other contacts are marked private your part of a team that you don't have access to.

How many users are there in the database (My Records)?

There are a total of 10,250 in our database that shows on every computer.  When I look up our companies name on my computer it shows only three contacts but when looked up on other computers it shoes the correct amount of 16.

Thank you!

I will put my question another way. Of the 16 Contact records for your company, how many of them are records are of people that are aslo database users represented in the Tools | Manage Users area, whether classified as Active or Inactive?

I see your question better now.  Out of that 16, 10 are ACT users.  I can only see one of those users when I do a look up for our company, the rest are hidden to me.  I do see the users when I go to Lookup, Advanced, Users.

Thank you!

Hello Kurt,

We are on a network and we are looking at the same database.

Where do I look yo see if they are marked private or not?

Thanks,
