I/O error when creating an RDB file

ACT 20.1 update 9 on Windows 2012 server.

When creating an RDB file it fails with an I/O error.  This has always worked before -

There is room on the drive and also on the system drive for the database size.

Tried running ACT as windows administrator (Right clicking) and also tried options like creating on c drive, same error.

Now solved - it was the virtual server mis-reporting the space left on the drive when in fact it was almost full hence the error.

Re: I/O error when creating an RDB file

Is there a specific file name mentioned in the error message? Could well be that an attachment file IS physically damaged. Had this myself from time to time.

Re: I/O error when creating an RDB file

Thanks for the reply. Just says non-recoverable error I/O ets.

Tried creating without attachments and also server reboot so running out of ideas.

Error comes very early in the process so looks permissions but nothing has changed. Did let me create a copy database so not sure where to look next.
