How to programatically login to ACT database and create a contact in ACT for Web 2008?

In Desktop version of ACT for login we can provide the database path to the Login API once we done the login we can create a contact in ACT programatically. Similar way i have to do the login for ACT for Web 2008 or else to do some other thing . I am very new to ACT for Web . Please can you help on this problem.

 

If you provide a sample on this it will be very grate full.

It's the same... but you have to do it via a service that your application would need to talk to over the web.
