How to install on existing MS SQL server

Hi all,
I'm new to this Act! software and have been designated to install this software on multiple machines at my company.

The issue that I need help with is that we already have a central database server and nowhere during the Act! installation process does it allow me to install on a different SQL instance.  Instance, it creates and installs its own Act instance and database.

If anyone could help me out with this issue, it would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,
Tung, an Act beginner in Need...

Re: How to install on existing MS SQL server

That is the way ACT! is designed to work, it installs its own instance of MSSQL, either Express or Standard depending on the version of ACT! you purchased.

As snakeroot says, providing you have ACT! Premium EX, you need to manually create the ACT7 instance in your version of SQL 2005
