How to have the same email linked to one ACT user, on several computers

Hi,

We have ACT Premium hosted on our own server with 20+ paid users.  The main user we use in the office "Admin" is linked up to Outlook which works great.  We have two other computers in the office logged in to Admin, each of these computers is logged into it's own instance of the server for this. So 3 computers all logged into the user Admin.

We want to have all 3 of these computers use the one email bookings@fitnessenhancement.com, and for these to all work in together ie an email comes into all 3 and then gets deleted on all 3 automtacilly when you do it on one.  I'm not sure how to do this as if we se up outlook on all 3 they wouldn't work together like this at all I assume?

What's the best way to get the outcome I want? Ideally I'd like to stick to using Outlook, but it's not essential.  I'm after whichever will get give the best result

Thanks,

Thanks Mike,

What exactly do you mean by that and how do I set it up?

My IT guy said I could use GMail as it uses iMap, what are your thoughts? He's a good IT guy but knows nothing about ACT so not sure if that would be the best option?

Re: How to have the same email linked to one ACT user, on several computers

Thanks Mike,

I've just had my IT guy (who doesn't know much about ACT) look into this.  Problem with this seems to be that I would have to move all my hosted email accounts (30 or so that are @fitnessenhancement.com) to Microsoft Exchange which isn't an option for many reasons.  I only need one email set up like this. And my present iinet interface I am provided with is unable to do this and it must be Outlook using imap or Gmail? Surely there ihas to be an easier solution? What do you recommend to solve this problem?

Thanks,

The bottom line is that it's not something for Act! ... you need a form of mail server that can share

Your IT person is correct use Gmail.

In a few days we will release Smart Inbox for Act! that will allow you to attach both inbound and outbound email to Act! from any email client, any device , from anywhere.
