Hi,
I am trying to extract Notes, History, Documents, Web Info, Addresses from ACT! Premium however, I am failing to do so. I would like to know if there is a way to extract them (more likely to CSV formats).
The problem I am facing while extracting History (Reports->Notes/History), it is showing me that "Saving in Progress" and the "Page count is going Up on 30,000" and there its getting struck. And to reach 30,000 pages in there it is taking 2-3 hours time.
Basically, this process is killing my time and also driving me crazy. It would be great if you people can help me in achieving this sooner.
Best Regards
Sapthagiri

Hello Sapthagiri,
Will try to help, not sure I will be able to resolve but please provide more info.
Describe your environment. What Operating system / systems?
What version of ACT? (complete reference Help / About) How many users ? Remote Databases?
How many total records in your database and how many records are your attempting to run a report on or Export?
Attempting a Export or Report?
Reference How To Export KB info
I do not see exactly what you are trying to do?
Did you perform a lookup of your desired data to be used?
Not sure you would be able to include Documents?
ok will wait to hear back from you with the details - cheers - FSBill

Hi,
Ours is an Windows XP system. Basically, there are Companies, Contacts, Opportunities and I could export these into CSV files (File->Export--..).
The case over here is that there are other fields like Addresses, Notes, History and Documents in the above mentioned items and I want these also to be exported to CSV files.

There isn't any export available in the ACT! program to export the Notes, History or Oppertunities. For that you would need a third party exporter. Check here. http://www.jltechnical.com/exporter.htm

Yes. As I understand things. I am no expert in this specific area. Sorry.
I don't believe too many folks attempt what you are wanting to do.? Good luck.

That's correct. Because the ACT! datebase is multitable an export of the history only would be meaningless because there would be no connection to the other tables.

I use Stonefield Query to produce some reports that are needed in .csv files by some of my clients.
