How to do?? - Menu item or Button

Hi all

I have a web page that generates a report based on the postcode and city name. How can i create a menu item or a button that will launch the website with the data requried???

I guess it would be something similar to the existing map address button

Any ideas???

Thanks

Jason

Re: How to do?? - Menu item or Button

Hello Jason,

You would need to have a custom .dll created to be able to populate a web page with information from your ACT! database. The most you can do is create a menu item that will bring up the web page, but you would still have to enter the information in manually to run the report.  Please see the following Knowledgbase article on customizing menus and toolbars:

How To Customize a Menu or Toolbar in ACT!

When you are creating the custom command per the instructions in the article, you would just put the URL for the command line.

You may be able to find an ACT! Certified Consultant who can design a .dll for you to populate the fields on the webpage. Click this link to Find an ACC in your area
