I am still a novice at using the database. For each new contact, I send an initial email with general information. 14 days after create date, I send a followup email to all those new contacts. Currently, 14 days later, I lookup the create date, and then send the followup email using a mail merge.
Where or how do I automate this schedule so can make it more efficient/easier to followup with each new contact 14 days after initial contact?
Thank you, Judy

Hi Judy,
You can do this with ACT! E-marketing by signing up for the Drip Marketing service. It will let you set up this sort of thing to automatically send e-mails out for you.

Depending on how much automation you want, I'd also suggest taking a look at "SAM" - stands for Sales Automation Manager. Details can be found at:

This program will pretty much do anything in ACT! that you'd like to automate.

If you only need Act! to notify you that it is time to send an email (or call your customer), you can set up and schedule an 'Activity Series' with steps 14 and 28 days out. For information on setting up an Activity Series visit this link: How to set up an Activity Series.
