How "supported" is SQL Standard? Has anyone ever been denied support because of SQL Standard?

We are about to switch from SQL Express to Standard but have seen mixed signals about the degree to which ACT supports Standard.

It seems that if you are running Standard and have a support plan, you may not get support in all cases, but those I've spoken with are not entirely clear.

Can anyone provide more information on this?  Has anyone ever had an issue that ACT would not support because they were not using Express?

We have multiple Act databases running on SQL Server 2016 Enterprise and everything runs fine. 

You will need to preform a manual SQL install for the ACT7 instance but a part from that you should be good. 

Something to note:

If you ever plan to migrate the databases back to SQL Express from full blown SQL you will need to do it via restore as.

Update*
I haven't had any Act support problems due to using full SQL instead of Express.
