Granting view only access?

Using ACT Premium v17 hosted on our server running Windows Server 2012 R2.  We have 4 ACT users sharing a database.  I see in Contact Access that we have options for public, private, or limited access; however, what we would ideally like is for everyone to be able to view each other's contacts, but only to be able to edit his/her own contacts.  Is there a way to do this?  Thank you.

Re: Granting view only access?

Not really ... but there is a workaround.

Create a Browse user - this is free in v17 and won't take a license

Then use Limited Access so each user can only see the records they can edit ... but add the Browse user (and maybe a master Admin) to all records as well.

Then users can login as the Browse user to see any other records
