Format Function

Greetings,

This may have been discussed, however, I haven't had success in finding an answer...

I am running ACT! Premium '09 (11.0.0.367).  I am trying to modify a Pipeline report and want to remove the digits to the right of the decimal on the Total and Weighted total fields.  I see the FORMAT(FIELD14, "CURRENCY") expression.  Are there additional parameters to modify?

Is there a source for a more technical aspects of the Report Designer?

Thanks,
Dan

Re: Format Function

In the Report Designer field properties would I do this where the +DATA-Expression is located?  Or would it need to be scripted?  Examples seem to be very rare Smiley Happy

Re: Format Function

Personally, I would do it as a script rather than as an expression. The expression has very limited capabilities and the additional parameters might ot might not work. In the script they will.

Re: Format Function

I am new to this report designer.

I have the following working in the OnPrint report script (removed it from the "Data-Expression-Property")

Custom4.Text = Format(FIELD14,"CURRENCY")

My question is where would I set the decimal in the script?  I tried DecimalPlaces with no luck.

Re: Format Function

I got this to work in that it removed my decimal places, however, I could not get it to accept any switches.

Custom4.Text = FormatCurrency(FIELD14)

Re: Format Function

given that I've not had that problem I have to assume that it was an error in your script. The ACT! reports does not include a debugger  for the VB script programming and I've found that a single character error or incorrect placement can cause the script to fail.
