Fields that are being filled out are later disappearing...

Hi All,

 

I'm on Sage ACT! Premium 2012 Version 14.1.108.0,

 

The sales guys have been complaining that after filling out some custom fields that we have created on a layout are later going back to the same contact and finding that the information is no longer in the field. We have recently changed the layout and I'm wondering if I did something wrong?...

Hello Ade,
Have you confirmed that all users are using the exact same layout (.cly) file? Also, can you reproduce this in the demo database (ACT2012Demo)? One thing you can do to track this is that for one or more of the fields that they are reporting the issue for, go into Tools > Define Fields, edit the field, on then check the box for "Generate History". This will record a history item in the contact when the field is populated or edited.
