Trying to get a client's database upgraded to the latest 2014 database. The ACT10 Demo database from 2008 on their existing system upgrades without issue. The process I've used for upgrading is backing up and restoring to the new 2014 server. The client's ACT database fails to upgrade with:
Exceptions occurred while executing the database schema update script.
You can view the entire log file here: Log File
Here are the last 5 lines of the log are:
*********** Schema Update failed **************
*********** Exception message follows *********
PRC_REPORT_MAKE_OLEDBFUNCTIONS: ERROR OCCURRED TRYING TO CREATE/ALTER BASE FUNCTION FNR_CONTACT
PRC_REPORT_MAKE_OLEDBFUNCTIONS: ERROR OCCURRED TRYING TO REMOVE FUNCTION METADATA FOR FNR_CONTACT
The current transaction cannot be committed and cannot support operations that write to the log file. Roll back the transaction.
Schema Update failed.
I've attempted the upgrade several times, I even performed every single ACTDIAG maintenance task before upgrading on the new server. I also ran a database check and repair in ACT 2008 before generating the backup and it still failed.
Any thoughts?

It would appear that there is database corruption that will require database repaor service.
Swiftpage and several ACCs (including Techbenders) can provide that service. You should be able to get an evaluation at no charge.

This database was professionally repaired when we moved from 6.0 to 2008 back in 08 by an ACT specialist, as like this instance the database would not upgrade from 6.0 to 10. So you are saying that we will have to pay to have the previously repaired database repaired again? We purchased ACT 2014 in mid January and I'd like to avoid having to re-repair this database at additional cost.

Hallo,
perhaps you do not need a full repair, I have an idea, but need the backup of the database to check if it is working.
If you are interessed please submit a ticket on http://support.crmaddon.com
then you will get theinfo how to send the database - we handle all data with care -
best regards Susanne

This error is a pain and does normally need an expert and some SQL repair software but just to check that you have tried the repair for this error in ACTDIAG under database rebuild. Woth a try befre spending money.

Just to say I had not seen that you has already tried the ACTDIAG repairs when I gave the reply above.
