I have the version 18.2.0.53 SP 6.

 

I try to uninstall SQL and ACT but to you have a tools for both to make a proper uninstall for both software.... because I thing there some file remaining in my system because when I reinstall SQL and ACT, I have the same error and ACT don't ask me for serial number.

Microsoft didn't make SQL 2008 to be properly compatible with Windows 10. You need SQL 2014 Express (free download from Microsoft) for that.

Uninstall the 2008 components first, then reboot.

Here what I have when I install SQL 2014 Express

 

The following error has occurred:

Could not open key: UNKNOWN\Components\1FA18F7974E099CD0AF18C3B9B1A1EE8\c1c4f01781cc94c4c8fb1542c0981a2a. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.

I have no file under those folder. (for the first link)

 

I'M not familiar wih those thing !!!

Not files, Registry.

If you're not comfortable with those fixes, you'll need to book a consultant to help you

done
